This book, despite being medium-paced, kept me hooked to the end, especially the last quarter of the book. I'm almost lost on how to fully review the book because I really enjoyed it. At the same time, it feels like something got cut off at the end. Like the book ends and it makes sense, but it feels like there is more story to tell, or that something was removed from the final draft. I don't know, but it's confusing. I DID enjoy it but I'm left wanting more; not in the way where a book ends in an ambiguous way, but like pages were ripped out and I'll never really get to know what happened.
Graphic: Animal death, Body horror, Chronic illness, Death, Gore, Self harm, Suicidal thoughts, Suicide, Terminal illness, Violence, Blood, Suicide attempt, Abandonment, and Injury/Injury detail
This book has almost all dark shit, except homophobia, racism, and transphobia. So be warned I guess? It's nothing unexpected from the description, but just in case you weren't sure.
