Eh. This felt like it could have been a much more interesting work if Shelley had been able to work it harder and transform it either into a full novel or into a much tighter short story. As it was, it felt fairly boring, without much actual action and with a lot of overwrought Romantic language about inner turmoil. It's rare that I want to actually have more incest happen in a book, but *shrug*.
Graphic: Suicidal thoughts, Grief, and Death of parent
Moderate: Suicide and Abandonment
Minor: Incest
