This Time Next Year by Sophie Cousens
4.0
I can tend to shy away from choosing a love story for my @bookofthemonth choice - but this one hit all the rights notes! Here's what is had that I like in a love story:
- good supporting characters that have interesting quirks!
- conflict that isn't based on lack of communication
- character and/or couple growth
The premise of this one was cute & fun too - Minnie spends much of her life believing she's unlucky because she was the second baby born in the new year - and the first "stole" her mom's intended name for her. Of course - the love interest is the first baby born that year - Quinn. They've known of each other forever, but when they meet on their birthday as adults they begin to move past what they've believed about each other, and themselves. All around a good one!
