I love, love, LOVE this book so freaking much. Wow. I'm just floored, really. A Dowry of Blood is the gentle reminder I needed that literature can amaze me, just completely surpass all expectations. This is a story I'm unlikely to ever forget. I can easily see myself re-reading this masterpiece for years to come.

The prose was utterly fantastic. S.T. Gibson draws you in with the most jaw dropping opening ever, until the reader is scrambling to understand what the hell happened. How did a seemingly innocent love turn into murder? What unravels is truly shocking. Deplorable and unjustifiable in every sense. I never wanted more for another (fictitious or real) downfall than I wanted for him.

The ending was obviously perfect and just as I was hoping for but the epilogue truly healed a broken part of me from the inside, LOL! Bold words and I truly mean it. I don't know if the epilogue is new to the published version, but if you hadn't read it before make sure to see if your copy has it! Ugh, the book hangover is about to be REAL after this one.
