This was one book I somehow lost in my little library and just uncovered. I was obsessed with Simone Elkeles because all of the cool girls liked her when this came out. I wanted to be cool... It never happened. They still made fun of me for enjoying the book when THEY enjoyed the book. And somehow, that girl is now a mental health nurse and she was the biggest adult bully I knew... Go figure.
This contemporary romance follows Maggie and Caleb when they have to go on a juvenile detention-esque trip talking about how impaired driving and risky driving affected their lives. And man, there's DRAMA. I haven't read the first book in this series, but this book gives you enough details to understand what's going on. That being said, I need the first book now. I want to know how their relationship started. Anywho, their romantic feelings haven't gone very far and the two of them also have a strong passion lingering. They know their relationshj=ip isn't a good idea... Especially when a dark secret twist comes out...
I really liked this book! I missed YA books like this. They pack the drama yet are somehow realistic and have me binging the book. I love Simone and need to find more of her books. She needs to make a big comeback and soon. Ah, my teenaged self would have ate this book up!
Four out of five stars.
