A Highlander in a Pickup: A Highland, Georgia Novel by Laura Trentham

3.0

I really enjoyed the setting of this book, a quaint Georgia mountain town steeped in Scottish tradition seems idyllic, and indeed they refer to it as such in the book. I didn't love the characters as much, their insecurities were overpowering and at war with how they were otherwise written. Also the parts that were supposed to add drama to the story, such as interactions with the main antagonist, were really flat and so easily and quickly resolved that I don't even know why the author bothered to include them. Not a bad read but it wouldn't be my first choice.
