Collins' ability to tie in so many symbols and themes from the original trilogy in a way that doesn't over-flood the story is insane. There were so many points in reading the book that I had my mouth open in excitement for being able to see just where so many points of the original books came into play and how times has changed the characters we were introduced to. She has such a special ability for world-building, I would read any other excerpt from Panem's history just to fully understand it just that much more. My only gripe with the book as a whole is the longevity of the third part, while simultaneously ending a bit too quickly, but the journey there was worth it.
