it has been a while since a book made me feel like my heart was being ripped out of my chest but i was laughing the whole way down. this book was so clever and interesting, i loved it.

wasn’t sure how to choose a tag for this one - technically it’s unconsensual sex? but basically the mc has sex with his wife cause he’s told by the church he has to to avoid institutionalization cause all men have active sex drives apparently. so that sucks. also the animal death is pretty terrible, please be warned. it happens in chapter 14 on pages (add this in!), and while it is helpful to understand the time travel it’s hard to read.
