A Lust for Blood: A Realm of Curses Novel by K.C. Smith

To me, this book does not read as a debut novel just the start to a new series. The author seems very comfortable in their style of writing and with their world and characters.
Pros:
While you are given a lot of information to be able to understand this world, the beings and magic it is done in a way that isn’t overwhelming and doesn’t feel like the first draft of a research paper dumping info on you. Things are revealed over the full book with clearly more to come in the future.
Cons:
I was thinking that Garren was a reincarnation of Oriana’s lost love but if that is the case it hasn’t been revealed at this point but I feel like that would be a very cool twist in the future.
