This is a High School forbidden/taboo romance. She's the young new substitute teacher. He is one of the top dogs in school, plus his mother is the principal. She thinks he's one of those kids who is full of himself and feels entitled. He thought she was an ice princess with a stick up her bum. Both were wrong. In addition to the romance aspect of the book, there are the secrets that she is keeping. We get some insight to them in the beginning, but it's hinted at that there are things we don't know (and don't find out til the end.) There are a a couple suspenseful moments. I think their relationship (or rather their feelings) grew a little too quick. It was kinda like one minute they didn't like each other and the next they were in love. He was a good guy. And although they had to keep their relationship a secret (she was his teacher after all, and let's not forget that his mom was her boss,) he defended her whenever she needed it (even if she didn't know she needed it.) He was there for her when she needed help. With all the stuff involving her secrets, she doesn't have much to offer him, but herself. He is happy with that. There are some side characters that you will love to hate. And we get glimpses of who future books will be about. The book alternates POVs. There is some sexual content. It reads easily. This is part of a series, but each book can be read as a stand alone.

*I received an ARC of this book.
