Doing Justice: A Prosecutor's Thoughts on Crime, Punishment, and the Rule of Law by Preet Bharara

4.0

I started this book cynical as hell. It seems like every wannabe TV personality or political pundit has this book sitting somewhere behind them for their quarantine zoom meeting background. Typically those books are fluffy feel good garbage.

But this book won me over. Preet seems like a genuinely decent man. He takes us on a pretty respectable tour of law and criminal justice, interspersing it with impressive first hand accounts of cases that he’s been a part of.
