A modern enemies to lovers that actually felt high-stakes and well developed. I am obsessed. Lucy and Josh are executive assistants at a publishing house for the co-CEOs and have “hated” each other from Day 1 of the merger. Or do they?? Lol.
Their spiteful banter is so witty and fun, I truly fell in love with their little verbal spars. Lucy got a little too cutesy towards the end with her girlish behaviors, but honestly it still worked in the story, and I still love her and them together. Simply adorable, and a fantastic little read.
