equally comforting and uncomfortable. a reminder to breathe, to slow, to examine all feelings and thoughts, to be okay with being uncomfortable. i think i find something about Taoism more compelling than Buddhism, though, in the little I know of each, because there is something in Buddhism that feels a little too much like pushing through exhaustion/distress etc. as just discomfort in the body, which really challenges some of my values. I honestly probably know too little to comment on it, but…observations thus far
