Sappho and the Greek Lyric Poets by Willis Barnstone, William E. McCulloh, Sappho

5.0

Small, simple poetry for a small, simple sapphic. Whimsically written, the pages seep with passion. Sort of like your day to day poetry book but about love and living a sapphic life. Dressed in traditional Grecian emotional intensity, the portrayal of burning love is phenomenal. I feel that Willis Barnstone has a special place in Sappho's heart for translating her poetry so well.
