The Burning God by R.F. Kuang

3.0

I really hated the second book. I couldn't stand Rin's idiotic impulsive behavior but at least this time I knew what to expect going into the third. She didn't change in this book, missing obvious traps and jumping to idiotic conclusions. We're still stuck reading an impulsive teenager's thoughts that are contradicting themselves from one paragraph to another. Throughout the book I kept being baffled why anyone would follow her. Outside those gripes the plot kept me interested.
