Ok, so I loved Ninth House, but I think Hell Bent actually beat it out. I can't believe I was so late to the game on this series (just read Ninth House a last week). This might be my newest series obsession. Which is bittersweet because now I have to wait for the rest of the series! This review has spoilers, so if you don't want to read those, stop here. But just know, I highly recommend both the series and Hell Bent in general.

Hell Bent picks up exactly where Ninth House leaves off. I love Dawes's character development and her determination to bring Darlington back from hell. And the background we learn about Turner and Tripp just makes you grow to love their characters even more (and the ending with Tripp - I honestly love it). And let me tell you, demon Darlington is definitely way more attractive than the Gentleman of Lethe. His experiences in hell just bring out a new side of him that is still Darlington, but just much more suitable to Alex (in my opinion).

I love how this series is really set around Alex but shows her growing her chosen family and learning to really stand her ground and stick up for both herself and those she loves. And while I love a good romance, the little bits and pieces of romance are just enough. I want this to be fantasy and about a badass female with just touches of romance - not the sole focus on romance - and that's just what these books have been so far.

Ugh, I just want to gush and gush about this book. But trying to put my feelings and thoughts into words is just difficult because of how much I loved this book. I really hope there are special editions made at some point because I will be snapping them up ASAP.
