Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

emotional funny medium-paced

4.25

‘Pride and Prejudice’ is a classic that is strikingly modern considering it was published in 1813. This romance story between the bold Elizabeth Bennet and unapproachable Fitzwilliam Darcy is completely enchanting and timeless despite the Regency Period setting. The sparkling dialogue between characters is charming, delightful, and full of witty quips. Austen masterfully uses the characters and dialogue to lampoon society at the time.

Expertly crafted literature, dynamic characters, and a love story which transcends time compounds the notion that ‘Pride and Prejudice’ is deservedly one of the greats.
