Wicked in His Arms by Stacy Reid
4.0
When the synopsis said they'd be forced to marry because she was compromised in a closet, I wasn't expecting her to be so THOROUGHLY compromised.
This is the second in the Wedded by Scandal series and I really enjoyed it. The first book has become a favourite of mine, so I enjoyed the little cameos of the leads from Accidentally Compromising the Duke.
I was so worried that Livvie would slip too far into "Tomboy Who Thinks Traditionally Girly Things Are Inferior" territory but thankfully she did not.
Tobias was your typical tortured hero but unlike most histroms, he actually had very good reasons for it. Papa Blade, I hope you're burning in hell.
Stacy Reid is an auto-buy author for me (and this has been sitting on my Bought TBR shelf for a LONG time), she knows how to bring the heat and the emotions.
The only thing holding this at a 3.5/4 star is, like the first book, I don't feel like there was as much grovelling at the end as there should have been. Tobias seemed to do an about turn very quickly and I don't think it was examined enough. I also feel like the Epilogue could have given us a bit more rather than just setting up the next book.
That being said, his grand gesture was a VERY big grand gesture.
