Purgatory's Key by Dayton Ward, Kevin Dilmore

4.0

A solid 4 Stars. It was really good, though less than #2 Best Defense. That said, I believe they wrapped things up approximately.

I love how they made Lt. Uhura, Ensign Chekov and Sulu real characters with motivations and arcs. In the TV series (and in the movies) relegated to quips and one liners.

The main three were of course the focus and very well done. Scotty got some love, too for his ship.

Ambassador Sarek and Amanda were really well realized, too.

Also, Joanne McCoy was a great character. I'd love to see her character pop back up in another book.

The overall trilogy was great.
