The Social Conquest of Earth by Edward O. Wilson

3.0

A difficult read for me because of the highly scientific nature of Wilson's explanations of the evolution of human society. While I found the theories and conclusions fascinating, and the analogies between social insects and humans in forming societies interesting, overall the science was hard to follow, particularly when Wilson explained his work in purely scientific terminology. The last part of the book was certainly easier to understand, and his focus on the development of language, religion and culture was enlightening.
