This is probably the first horror book I’ve ever read! It felt more on the sides of blood and gore for me, but I think I just struggled to fully visualize the “monsters” of the story. It has certainly intrigued me to explore the genre more.
As a trans person, I appreciated the anger and representation so much. There were feelings expressed that I think most of us - or at least, me - keep to ourselves about the trans experience, and I have a lot of respect to the author for putting it out there for all to read! It was nice to see a variety of queer and trans experiences throughout the story - all being valid and accepted as possibilities in the community.
