It's a sweet story: sports romance, enemies to lovers, found family. It gets flat at times, but it's still very much adorable and a quick read. I loved both characters, and they had good character development as well. This was the first time I read a sports romance, and I was surprised by how much I liked it. One thing I absolutely loved about this book was how important mental health and therapy were to the plot. I wouldn't call it the best romance I've read; it's like a better version of any other Wattpad cliché, with less frequent stupid drama and misunderstandings between the main characters. The only negatives I see are that the characters are pretty diverse but it just seems forced for some reason . Sabrina is a very weird character when it comes to her religion. She's supposed to be a Muslim but is drinking and having one night stands with no inhibitions so it feels like the author didn't do much research on the religion and its principles. Other than sprinkling a few "Wallahi" and "Ya Allah" and her being from Algeria and her speaking in Arabic, here and there, there's nothing Muslim about her. I mean she could be a non practicing Muslim for all we know, but that should've been discussed I feel. Apart from that I loved her character. And, there are way too many characters, I don't even remember half of their names now, so idk if I'll be able to remember their names by the time the second book comes. The book has a lot of filler chapters and is long for no reason.
Oh, and a lot of smut. A LOT OF SMUT. It's good smut though, so I'm not complaining, but definitely not for someone who isn't into spicy content. All in all, it's a 2.75/5 for me.
