Damaged Like Us by Krista Ritchie, Becca Ritchie

Did not finish book. Stopped at 75%.
I saw the spines of this series on
bookstagram and really loved the way they looked so I started the first one hoping I would really enjoy it so I could buy them and have them be pretty on my shelves. Not! Quite!

Not to be a book snob, but I knew going in this kind of romance was going to be poorly written and honestly, I was fine with that. I will put up with poor writing in exchange for hot MMA bodyguard/American celebrity prince, but that element just wasn't good enough to compensate as it turned out. I think my main problem was the portrayal of just how famous the family is. I just didn't buy it. I know America is celeb-crazy, but caring so much about a socialite family was just entirely out of my comprehension to the point of distraction and annoyance. A shame because Maximoff and Farrow are both totally hot, but oh well.
