The Great American Whatever by Tim Federle

Did not finish book. Stopped at 19%.
I had high hopes that this was going to be a bit of a wild card and end up being really good even though I wasn't super intrigued to buy the synopsis but I was wrong.  I'm completely uninterested and anyone or anything that's happening even though I find this setup to be interesting with Quinn's sister being dead and him completely refusing to acknowledge any of his emotional baggage because of it. I like Geoff as a friend too and they're dynamic seems sweet and fun.

But beyond that I don't only enjoy the characterization of Quinn being a quirky, "fabulous" gay film buff.  Maybe that changes throughout the book as he grows as a character but I'm just not enjoying his quirky side comments and his refusal to ask for clarification in any situation.
