The Murder at Hazelmoor by Agatha Christie

4.0

A typical Christie mystery set in a desolated English town. The amateur sleuth is a determined young woman who wants to solve the murder and release her fiance from Jail.
And the book reminds me that Christie writes some very strong, independent woman characters...something that even some contemporary authors can't quite manage.
I have great admiration for Christie. I don't usually have any desire to meet any of the celebrities that I admire. But I'd have loved to meet Christie. That I might have found her high-handed and unpleasant is a different thing altogether.
