Love from Scratch by Kaitlyn Hill

4.5

  • I really enjoyed this one. It was fun and mostly light-hearted
  • I really enjoyed Benny and Reese(as evidenced by the fact that writing this review 4 books later I remember their names)
  • I adored Benny and how he persisted after Reese, how he sought to make her feel comfortable and cared for
  • Reese felt like a really well developed character as she carried her desire to grow and join in the friends of flavor but also she struggled with the effects of public perception prior and how that impacts her now
  • I thought the book explored the difficulties of being a woman in the workplace and on social media without smacking you in the head with it
  • The banter was good (ugh the nicknames were so cute), the characters were full, and the plot was solid
  • I had a fabulous time reading and it felt like I just absolutely devoured it
