Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky

5.0

Great Read, Check it Out

Story:
Children of Time offers a unique analysis of humanity through both an alien and tragic lens. Although, at times the story sort of felt lacking in complexity, there came a point where I realized "this doesn't need to reinvent the storytelling wheel", moreover the characters, concepts, and underlying themes support what I consider to be one of the best sci-fi books I've ever read.

Characters:
Although we aren't given a plethora of information on Avrana Kern, Holsten, or any of our supporting characters. Their placement in the story was nonetheless important.

Impact:
It stands to reason that this book is one of the best books I've ever read, not even of its type, but in general. A fascinating look at what humanity has to offer to those that come after us.
