This was such a charming and relatable story. I loved the focus on the way we all fixate on things and their meanings, and how different we may think things are from the way they are intended. I also loved the discussion around art and the need to create. The interactions were depicted so uniquely and I really enjoyed the narrative style. This story lost me a little with the sections towards the end from Dante, Bush, and de Man, I felt it was a bit too meta and the book would have been better without them.
