This book was good. Recommended. I didn't quite like it (obviously).
Here's the thing: the relationship was progressing very well (though not much of it was fake, mostly just secret), and I liked the two MCs together and separately. But with the third act conflict and then the climax, everything became sort of ridiculous for me, over the top and cliche even. The only thing that saved this was the strong relationship basis this author built.
