It has been a while since a book has captured me like this. "The Final Empire" really sets the tone for this series, I feel and I look forward to continuing it soon.
Plusses for me:
- The main plus is the interesting magic-system(s) in place in this novel. I will admit that I'm not the most well-read fantasy reader, but it's unlike any I've personally encountered before. The in-world usage was great.
- Vin. We love a good, strong, well-rounded female protagonist.
