holy shit this book took me forever to finish. i’m not sure what exactly i was thinking a year ago when i read the other books in this series, but i did not enjoy this one as much as the others.
getting through this book has put me in such a reading slump and i think it’s just because of how unnecessarily long it is. the majority of this book was not needed to move the plot further along and most of the plot took place in the last 10 percent of the book.
the ending of the book was good and i sailed through it, but for me that didn’t make up for the first 90 percent of the book.
i will say my favorite parts were focused around seth and caleb’s relationship and i loved the tension we got to see between the two of them throughout the story. it was definitely what i looked forward to the most throughout reading and their relationship is what kept me reading the book.
