Blips on a Screen: How Ralph Baer Invented TV Video Gaming and Launched a Worldwide Obsession by Zachariah OHora, Kate Hannigan

informative inspiring fast-paced

3.75

This is a fantastic picture book biography about the inventor of the first video game system that could hook up to a TV. It has a medium amount of words, so could be read aloud fairly easily. The illustrations are bright and engaging. I also really appreciated that the full design process was mentioned--from initial idea to setbacks to prototypes and a working product. I think many readers who also love gaming will be interested to know the origins of their video game system (and be amazed at how far things have come since they were first created!)
