The Book of Spies by Gayle Lynds
4.0
The Book of Spies reminds me of a Dan Brown book, but better written. For centuries scholars, fortune hunters, and even the Vatican have searched for Ivan the Terrible's Library of Gold, a real famed, historical, lost library. The book centers around several characters' search for the library, motivated by friends and family linked in some way to it, and the extreme lengths the book club now in posession of the library will go to in order to keep it hidden. It's fast-paced, as a thriller should be, and has some interesting historical info besides. Overall a fun read that I'd definitely recommend.
As for the audiobook format I listened to: Kate Reading is a fantastic narrator! I've listened to several other books she's narrated, and she's so good that I now sometimes seek out books she's read. I'm glad she narrated this one, because that search lead me to a great story!
