I was not expecting to like this as much as I did! But I thoroughly enjoyed it and had a hard time putting it down.
It definitely took overlooking some of the cringeworthy ‘not like other girls’ rhetoric, but I honestly did not find it that hard to do. I was captivated enough by the story and the characters, that I didn’t mind it that much
Normally with Why choose, it’s usually overrun with spice or starts with over the top bullying. I really appreciated that this wasn’t the case here. I love that the characters had time to actually connect before the spice kicked in
The final conflict seemed a little bit rushed and I suspect there will be some revelations about certain characters in the next book that will be meant to be shocking but, if I’m correct in my assumptions, were pretty easy to spot from the get-go. Nonetheless, they way this book ended has me eager to pick up the next book right away, and I can’t really ask more than that
