The Social Conquest of Earth by Edward O. Wilson

challenging informative reflective slow-paced

3.5

Human evolution is a super interesting topic, and I was surprised to find myself still engaged during the chapters on insect social structure as well. But I think parts of this could have been organized better, and biological concepts that I wasn't familiar with could have been explained earlier than they were to make this more clear. I think Wilson's dive into the biological origins of much of the humanities was interesting reading but I'd need more than what's in this book to be fully convinced. Still, I definitely don't regret reading this.
