Fredrik Backman manages to include real laugh out loud moments in a story that explores deep topics like suicide, loneliness, and the way capitalism affects the individual. I finished the audiobook, which was beautiful performed btw, on a night when all I wanted to do was lay in the dark and feel all the feelings. To say the messages hit home is an understatement. We are not as alone as we sometimes feel we are and the value of human connection is higher than ever.
