The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes was an explosive opening to her Inheritance trilogy. I was skeptical at first, but as I read more, I fell more and more in love with the characters, and more importantly, the puzzle. This book was entertaining, and while the puzzle wasn’t as engaging for the reader (since we had to rely on Avery to find the clues) it was fascinating to watch the pieces reveal the final answer. I’m really excited to dive into the next book and see where the mystery leads, since I feel as though it will somehow get better from here. If you’re looking for a mystery series to sink into, I highly recommend adding this one to your TBR (and having the next book on standby so you don’t have to wait to keep reading).
