Wow. This series is absolutely worth all the hype it’s been receiving! Nina delivers an incredible, emotional journey through the lives of the Porter brothers—Lake, Wreck, Vant, Sav, and Dem. These brothers are flawed in such real, raw ways, shaped by their difficult pasts. Early on in book one, you find yourself giggling at their antics while also shaking your head at the mistakes they make, knowing some could have been avoided. Yet Nina masterfully makes you feel deeply for each of them, showing us where their flaws stem from.
What truly stands out is how these brothers grow. They push each other to do better, even seeking therapy to break their toxic cycles of love. Watching them evolve from reckless young men into fathers and husbands who face their demons head-on is so rewarding. Each brother has his own powerful journey, and it’s hard not to get invested in their personal growth.
The women in this series are equally amazing. They are unique, complex, and strong in their own right. Ivy and Chi were my absolute favorites, but Avery’s growth and Gia’s development were also compelling to read. Every character brings something special to the story, making it hard to put the books down.
Now that I’ve finished, I’m in the biggest reading slump! The Porter brothers and this universe have left such an impact on me, and I’m excited to see what’s next. If you haven’t picked this series up yet, trust me—it’s a wild, emotional ride you don’t want to miss.
