What I Wish You'd Told Me by Rochelle Jewel Shapiro 51 pages 1 hour and 35 minutes narrated by Stephanie Tucker
Genre: Short Stories, Literary Fiction
Featuring: Sex, May December Romance, Alcoholism, Cancer, Death, Vague Endings, Audible Plus
Rating as a movie: R for adult themes and content
My rating: ⭐⭐⭐¼
My thoughts: 29% Secrets ⭐⭐⭐ it was okay, nothing special and no point.
65% A Sympathetic Listener ⭐⭐⭐½ at least it had some interesting moments that were humorous.
99% Great-Aunt Mariah and the Gigolo ⭐⭐⭐⅔ I feel a bit violated.
These stories were okay the main issue for me was they just ended, almost the equivalent of a song fading out in the middle of the third verse. The first story, "Secrets" was the weakest of the trio, the other two used dark humor to color the story. There were no real plots or character development.
Recommend to others?: Maybe. It's a quick read, you may like it.
