Prozac Nation by Elizabeth Wurtzel

5.0

The one thing that stands out the most when I recall reading this book was that I felt Elizabeth's depression. Her depression hurt personally and was heavy, a new development that I carried around with me everywhere I went. Every time I continued reading, it hit me again. People usually say that Elizabeth is whiny but I didn't get that impression at all. If anything she was honest.
I was compelled and devastated by Prozac Nation and was enveloped into the hard hitting reality of depression and Prozac. Never has a novel left me feeling the affects of the character, or in this case real human experience.
