“Sometimes the monsters are not monsters...and sometimes the monsters are within us all, even in those we think are most good.”

Well it's finally over. After reading the first three books back in 2011 and having to wait an eternity and a half for this to come out, it's finally over. This was one of my less anticipated books to read and I honestly didn't care if I didn't finish it but I pushed myself. In the end it meet my expectations which honestly were pretty darn low. It's really more like a 2.5

This book takes place a few weeks after the third book, [b:Entice|8069535|Entice (Need, #3)|Carrie Jones|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1305547585s/8069535.jpg|12769820], ends. Now, since I read this like 2 years ago I was a bit lost. I usually remember things in books fairly well but hey it was two years and a story that I don't really like. So yeah.

This is pretty much what happened in the book:
Nick is a jerk
Astley is awesome
Bad guys hurt Astley
Zara to the rescue
They go find bad guys
Look things up on the internet
(Repeat those steps like five or four times)
Free Loki

That's about it

Now what pissed me off was the internet thing. EVERYTHING they got was from the internet. EVERYTHING!!!! Like I get that there is some real crazy crap out there but seriously? "Where is the gate to Hel?" ...LET'S LOOK ON LINE! "How do not free Loki" ...I KNOW LET'S GOOGLE IT! "How do we save the world?"... I'LL GO GET MY LAPTOP!!

It's like Ms. Jones had run out of ideas and decided to take the easy road and just throw in the word internet a couple times. Though I admit I'd rather that than have the characters sounding stupid with random facts. Though honestly they sounded stupid enough. They were all like:
internet

All while I was like:

Seriously the only one making sense was Isla, the supposed crazy person, she was the only one who saw how dumb they were.

"The internet? You base your defense against the apocalypse on information you've gathered from the internet...?"

It kept reminding me of that StateFarm commercial with the "French model" you know the one I'm taking about.

In the end I'm glad it's over. It was OK, not the worst book I've read but not the best. I was never really a fan of the series but continued with it because I always continue a series unless it's so bad I want to die *cough* [b:Evermore|3975774|Evermore (The Immortals, #1)|Alyson Noel|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1362336360s/3975774.jpg|4021549] *cough*. I found the characters really stupid, not personality wise but actually lacking inteligence and there is nothing I hate more than that. Still, I'm glad for the closure but pissed it took so long to get here.

P.S.

Sorry for all the Loki it's just that he is kind of important in this book and when he finally showed up I kept seeing the Loki from Thor and the Avengers. It was really hard to imagine him being kind when all I saw was this :

And a little of this:

LOVE YOU LOKI!!
