Two stars means "it was OK" . Its almost two years since I read this book., however all I remember was the sense of disappointment. This seems to be a book for experts. I might have enjoyed it more had I first read the Odyssey, as the author presumes an intimate knowledge of the text. Much discussion of details, little explanation for the layman like me. Too much analysis, not enough conclusions. For all the trees, I could not recognise the wood.
