A Curse of Blood and Wolves by Melissa McTernan

Did not finish book. Stopped at 30%.

 

I could not get on with this book mainly because of the writing. If I had to describe this it felt like an under-developed wattpad offering. I had to look up the author assuming this was a debut but it wasn't. The characters were full-on all tell and no show. The dialogue was just unappealing, inner monologue was the same.

As to the plot, insta-plot...is there such a thing, because I think this is how I'd describe this. I threw in the towel before my eyes resided permanently in my hairline.

I am sorely disappointed at the quality of this pick as one of the early Fairyloot romantasy books. I hope this isn't indicative of what is to come.
