Overall, I thought this was a pretty good story. It's not often that I read books that are told chronologically in reverse and I thought that it was surprisingly well done. It really did push for my engagement as I just wanted to find out where it all went wrong. However, I would like to note that it did take me a bit of time to get used to the structure and it was just a little disorienting at first.

I really appreciated the topics that touched upon family dynamics, mental health, and social norms as it definitely assisted in how I interpreted their relationship throughout the novel. It really allowed me to view their relationship from a variety of perspectives which I thought was really nice.

Unfortunately, I just couldn't attach myself to the characters as much as I would have liked to. Sure, they were multifaceted and complex in many ways but I personally did not find their characters very striking. However, that is just a personal issue rather than it being an issue with the book itself.
