Finally got around to continuing this series and this may have been my favorite one so far. I can definitely see why this was my husband's favorite series as a kid and the only thing that got him into reading. I love the historical aspect and there were some twists that I definitely didn't see coming that made this really fun and enjoyable. I'm happy to see that the characters and story are "growing up" as the series progresses and we are definitely starting to move more into the clear young adult territory, which also makes this much more enjoyable. Can't wait to see where the next installment takes me!
This book counts for Popsugar 2022 for two books set in sister cities (this is set in New York, mostly, and the other book I am counting here was set in London), for r/Fantasy Bingo 2022 for wibbly wobbly timey wimey, and for Bookoplathon 2022 for a TBR vet.
