A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams

4.0

Flashback to when I thought Tennessee Williams was a female romance novelist... oh how I was wrong.

My mom and I decided to watch the A Streetcar Named Desire movie with Vivian Leigh and Marlon Brando a month ago because we thought it would be a fun thing to do. However, it was not as light as we first thought, and we sat there in silence as the movie ended fully realizing what we had gotten ourselves into. I had been thinking about the movie a lot recently, so I decided to finally pick up the play, which was even better! I really enjoyed [b:The Glass Menagerie|92517|The Glass Menagerie|Tennessee Williams|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1391591003l/92517._SY75_.jpg|1324493], so if you also liked that, this has very similar vibes.

All in all, I will make a note to read more of Tennessee Williams's plays in the future!
