The approach to the topic often was mystic and contained a lot of metaphysical woo-woo. The author is aware of skeptical readers and encourages them to keep an open mind and meet half way. The book includes traditional medical advice from a variety of cultures. While it offers the Standard medical advice, for people who are very spiritual I think it adds to the life experience.
