Sea of Tranquility by Emily St. John Mandel
3.0
still ruminating on how I feel about this one. parts I really loved, and the time jumping was cool, and I really liked the simulation suggestion. and I feel like the end message is trying to say something existentially optimistic but I couldn't quite grasp the exact delivery there? also the twist at the end was predictable and didn't feel super impactful. maybe the end felt a bit hammed in? not rushed exactly, but anticlimactic. yeah.
cool ideas though. night city lives rent free in my brain.
