Really weird book with quite disgusting and hard to read descriptions of what seemed to be her fetishes and rage against hygiene. But I think that was the point and the author did this really effectively.
It was a deeply human book which challenge me to enter the mind of the narrator when I didn’t really want to. But by the end of the book I felt for her as she was obviously lonely and her practises of hygiene I think was a way of connecting with people around her and leaving a trace of herself when she feels forgotten by her family and the deep trauma she experienced with her mother.
I’m giving a low score because not much happened and I walked away feeling quite grossed out but still found it quite funny and interesting
