Had to start off the year with a fave. Not much to say since this is my 4th time reading it but I do have some thoughts:
- As I suspected, I unfortunately am not a fan of reading romance as an audiobook. Wanted to try again since I love this book aaaand didn't last more than a couple chapters. Narrator did fine too so it's just me lol
- This is small but I just love that this rivals to lovers story never completely loses the rivals dynamic. Like obviously they banter but also they genuinely want to beat each other. So good.
- Rereading this makes me more pissed that I didn't love The Long Game....like look at the material!!
- I should highlight books more, going through and marking my favorite lines was pretty fun!
Anyway, this remains an all time fave. Glad I got to spend time with these characters again

Reread #3 in anticipation of the 2nd book finally being out!
Still a 5 star, still one of my fave romances of all time. It just works for me. This book manages to balance a very high steam level with believably high stakes, emotional development both in and out of the bedroom, and a true rivals to lovers story. The characters are so so likeable. Ilya is one of my fave romance book main characters ever. I think about this book all the time, so I'm glad I got to re-experience Shane and Ilya's love story again.
